Also known as the lemonade detox or more commonly as the master cleanse detox diet this idea is over 50 years old created by alternative health expert Stanley Burroughs. More recently however this has come back into fashion with celebrities using it more for the fast weight loss aspect which is significant because at this level of calories the body is forced to dig into the fat reserves for energy burning away the flab.
